As it migrates to a new platform, using the Open Journal Systems software, ALA Publishing is currently offering a generous deal on its archive of Library Technology Reports.  While a staple subscription item in many academic libraries, the series is priced beyond the modest budgets of school and smaller public libraries.

So if you’ve been wanting to read the report on Social Media Curation, I wrote with Brenda Boyer and Della Curtis, this is your opportunity.

You’ll also find this past year’s titles (as well as an archive reaching back to 2001):

A number of additional ALA journal publications are also available on the platform.  For instance, you’ll find: ALSC’s Children and Libraries, Newsletter on Intellectual Freedom, and Reference and User Services Quarterly.

Senior Editor, Patrick Hogan shares additional good news:

We expect to have authentication in place sometime in June. In the meantime this gives us a chance to put . . .  content in front of more readers.  Something else new– Going forward, the archive will be open access starting one-year from the issue’s publication.
